~Beulah~

This doll has been in the works for a while.  I had toyed back and forth with wanting to make a larger piece, then would change my mind and go back to sculpting tiny things.  Miniatures will always be my passion, but as shelf space permits, I felt she deserved to be completed...  I have a long history of  "doing things halfway" and need to get out of that mindset.  This is the doll I have created to date....16''.  She is very puppet like,.... another interest of mine to later be explored, puppetry.  These exaggerated figures always seem to end up with hemp locks, realistic hair on an unrealistic doll just don't work well together in my opinion.  More pictures will come later, she will be up for auction tonight or tomorrow.

                                     

~Anise~

Anise in folklore, is known to keep nightmares away.   it has a sweet, heady licorice scent.   A quick picture of its namesake.   She is lithe... white and cream and sepia, perched on an indian pipe. Much smaller  than the pictures tell.  She is sculpted from Kato polyclay.  Will be up for auction later this evening
